Is Hurricane Michael Heading to The Vogtle New Build?

Update Oct 11

Hurricane Michael is passing by Vogtle to the northwest by about 44 miles. I wonder how rain they got. Winds are about 50 MPH. Any effect on construction?

Update Oct 10

Vogtle is going to go pretty close to the center of the hurricane probility cone? Hurricane Michael is deep into Georgia and still a cat 3 hurricane with 115 MPH winds.

The NRC power levels and event reports are all down so far today.

Southern reduces Alabama Farley nuke plant power ahead of Hurricane Michael
Reuters•October 10, 2018
(Reuters) - Southern Co said it is reducing power at Units 1 and 2 at the Farley nuclear power plant in Alabama as a precautionary safety measure to prepare for potential weather-related conditions caused by Hurricane Michael.
The company said in a release the proactive steps will allow station personnel to continue monitoring the storm's progress and shut the plant if necessary.

Hurricane Michael  can still be a cat 2 hurricane as it crosses  the Georgia boarder. The area north of the Brunswick Nuclear plant is going to be inundated by rain coming from Michael.

***Well, it wouldn't be a hurricane over the plant. But it will bring a lot of rain.
