Brunswick Is Isolated From Outside By Flooding At Beginning of Florence

I just emailed these guys with my concern. The problem with the NRC spokesman's people you never know up to date their information. You have a set of management and NRC emergency groups overseeing the accident. This guy just might be keying on information 56 hours old. For all we know, higher management might have told the public affairs official, we will update you with information for our own purposes, but told the pubic affair don't you dare call us. Just go with information in the first notification. Personally, I think they are intentionally withholding information from the public as to confuse the recue and recovery efforts... I think the plant is in more dire straight than what they told us. What is the accurate condition of the plant right now? I am afraid senior NRC managers are keeping this public affairs officer in the dark.     

Southport, NC: Nuclear state of emergency

10:10 a.m.: Duke Energy’s Brunswick nuclear plant, about 30 miles south of Wilmington, has declared a state of emergency because the 1,200-acre complex is cut off by flood waters and and inaccessible to outside personnel. The plant has declared the lowest level of emergency, as required by Nuclear Regulatory Commission, said NRC spokesman Joey Ledford.

The problem is that no one can come in and relieve the workers who have been on site for days.

Ledford said the twin-reactor nuclear plant is stable and poses no threat to public safety. It has offsite power from the grid to cool the nuclear reactor and radioactive nuclear waste at the site.

Charlotte-based Duke shut down the two reactors ahead of the advancing storm when Florence was a Category 4 hurricane. Federal law requires nuclear operators to shut down nuclear reactors when sustained wind speeds are at 74 miles per hour or faster.

***The Biblical precipitation had yet to hit their area yet on Saturday about 56 hours ago. Rainfall was at about 20 inches when they made this report. God only knows what is going on now. The NRC played the weekend.  They NRC is plainly not trustworthy. 

That last USGS graph picture didn't work. The storm rainfall is 31inches so far?
