Is Coronavirus a "Deep Impact" Movie Kind of Situation

*So what percentage of the total population catches the virus: NIH doctor says 25% of coronavirus cases in China are ‘very serious,’ requiring ‘intensive care’

*Wouldn't the Trump folks up to playing politics on the Chinese coronavirus? Notice the Chinese term for it is a political virus. Can you imagine what the coronavirus political virus would look like in our highly partisan USA environment?
Geopolitics of epidemic: Is U.S. using 2019-nCoV to impose 'sanctions' against China?
By Abhishek G Bhaya

Is the U.S. exploiting the coronavirus outbreak to subtly put in place a sanctions-like regime against China? The promptness with which the U.S. has gone about imposing extensive travel restrictions in the aftermath of the outbreak – despite the World Health Organization's (WHO) advice to the contrary – has triggered global panic and identical response by a host of countries, deepening China's isolation.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross gleefully rejoiced at the prospect of global companies leaving China that "could bring jobs back to the U.S." – isn't that a key strategic objective of President Donald Trump's trade war against Beijing? – indicating clearly that Washington's decisions are more geopolitical than a reasonable preventive response to an epidemic.
A glance at Trump's older tweets makes it clear that it has been the U.S. President's dream to hurt Beijing economically by pulling out American companies from manufacturing in China. Analysts feel that the U.S. would not hesitate to exploit China's vulnerability in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

Screenshots of U.S. President Donald Trump's old tweets.
Beijing has protested against the U.S. travel advisory saying, "It is certainly not a gesture of goodwill." While Chinese Ambassador to the U.S. Cui Tiankai, in response to Ross' comments, warned against a "political virus" that could create a hurdle between the two countries from working together, Chinese experts have also insisted that the coronavirus is a health issue and not a political game.
The WHO has declared the novel coronavirus, designated 2019-nCoV, a global health emergency, but at the same time, the UN body's emergency committee found no reason for countries to impose travel or trade restrictions against China...

I find it preposterous we don't know how dangerous this virus is. Everyone throughout the world keeps saying the same thing: we are waiting for a comprehensive analysis with its dangerousness.  Lets imagine  if the fatality rate was say between 25 to 50% and extraordinarily catchy...the Deep Impart scenario. What benefit would it be for governments to admit how bad it going to be in a years time? You know they would lie to us if they knew it all was going to lead to the destruction of governments all though the world? I feel they would lie to us until the evidence  of the extent of this was clear to everyone.
A video apparently filmed in No 5 Wuhan hospital went viral showing body bags in a bus, and a man weeping next to his dead father. In the video, the person filming says: “So many people just died. There are so many dead bodies … they are still moving bodies.
I am watching very carefully to see if countries' roll out their military to quell Coronavirus destabilization. Honestly, god bless our military if it comes to that.

Maybe the Black Death and middle ages plague has something to teach us.

Two People In New Hamshire Are Sick and Being Tested For Coronavirus

Jan 30

*Two just showed negative. I guessed wrong!

*I am thinking if the test was negative the results would have came yesterday. The delayed reporting is caused by a positive test...they are doing some background work. The officialdom and politicians wants their best face on when they declare. This kind of behavior facilities broad mistrust!!!

*Thought we would get the results yesterday. Typically the public relation people and top agency people does the notifications to the public. The PR and senior people often time are way behind the guys in the lab. So this delay reporting might be something about this. I PR guys often times gives plausible deniability and fake delayed reporting to outsiders. All these people sometimes key off there own agenda. So there is miscommunication given for nefarious purposes and communications that just got boggled. This whole thing is being given based on personal, organization and political agendas. Most poeple are highly trained to just give the public the happyland news

Jan 29

*Waiting for the testing results? The length of time will tell us the condition of the CDC's testing capability?

Jan 28

*So why is NH reactive, while Florida is presumptive , on the possibility of being infected by the coronavirus. Both are school environments. The parents in the Littleton boarding school must be going out of their minds!!!

*Does this pertain to Littleton NH:  TOKYO - The government confirmed three more cases in Japan of the new coronavirus on Tuesday, including a tour bus driver who has never been to the central Chinese city of Wuhan, where the outbreak of the deadly virus began in a seafood and poultry market.

The bus driver in his 60s became the first Japanese to be infected with the virus in Japan, the health ministry said. He drove two groups of Chinese tourists from Wuhan earlier this month.

The findings bring the total number of confirmed infections in Japan to seven.

The tour bus made a round trip between Tokyo and Osaka during the period between Jan. 8 and 16, the ministry said.

*I am wondering how this site got the Concord Hospital is where the second patient is located: Although Vermont has no suspected cases of the new coronavirus, officials report that two potential cases are being monitored at hospitals in Littleton and Concord, New Hampshire.

* So the NH and the Hospital officials says risk is zero in NH, but the World Health Organization says NH and the USA is at a high risk. What a bunch of con operators. Come on this in WHO's internal politics: The World Health Organization (WHO) said Monday the global risk from the deadly coronavirus was “high,” admitting it made a mistake in previous reports that rated the risk of the virus as “moderate.”

The United Nations health body said in a situation report published Sunday that the risk was “very high in China, high at the regional level and high at the global level,” and explained in a footnote there had been an error in reports published Thursday, Friday and Saturday which incorrectly said the global risk was “moderate.”

WHO last week decided not to declare the virus an international public health emergency. WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said Thursday, “This is an emergency in China, but it has not yet become a global health emergency.”

The agency noted that the mistake made in three of its situation reports was the result of an “error in the wording.”

*Confirmation is a strange word. It reads to me they had a quick first test that was positive and they are waiting for the CDC test to come back for verification. I see they are testing all the staff of the school, what about students? These newspapers have to be careful with their words or they will cause a panic. I am happy the results are coming back today.
Hospital official expect to receive confirmation Tuesday from the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as to whether a 19- year old patient who recently returned from China is carrying the coronavirus.
*Well, we got some answers. It is horrific this is a school child. You notice they haven't put the rest of the school population under strict monitoring and isolation, and all the children and teachers who came in contact with the child. We are just a too decent country to contain the contagion. Imagine how terrified the parents are right now. So its been approximately 17 days since he has been back to the USA and he has been shedding viruses like hell the whole time. People who get infected almost start infecting other people emediately and it passes by saliva too? Now the regular flu season is raging. Is it the regular flu or the deadly virus? Tell me, what now happens if twenty children in Littleton comes with the Wuhan flu in the next two weeks. We are playing with a thermonuclear bomb here as one expert explain. The big deal here is, we are treating this as we always have in the past. What if the past holds no clue how the future plays out? That is what a novel contagion does. We are replaying the China horror show! It sounds like one is related to the other?
Littleton Regional Healthcare
At the 113th Littleton Regional Healthcare annual meeting, the following announcement was made to alleviate concerns from community members.
If they think this will alleviate community concern they are crazy. It did all but that! It sound like there is tremendous community angst over this already!
On Thursday, January 23, 2020, a student from White Mountain School in Bethlehem, NH presented at the Littleton Regional Healthcare (LRH) emergency department with mild flu-like symptoms. The student had traveled to Hunan, China in December returning to the US on January 6, 2020.
The intensive care room is a big concern. Is the child really sick with pneumonia. On a ventilator? Does anyone got a clue with how much hospital resources taking care of this child it will take?
Following the CDC guidelines for infection control, the patient has been placed in a negative pressure intensive care room for treatment to prevent cross-contamination to other areas of the hospital. LRH is also following the CDC recommended standard, contact, and airborne precautions for healthcare providers.
How are you going to handle your first case of coronavirus? Is there any roadmap how to do this? Remember this virus is defined by the experts as a SUPER-SPREEDER. This little hospital and town is way out of their league.
LRH is working closely with the Centers for Disease Control to determine whether or not this is a confirmed case of the Coronavirus. LRH was informed today at the CDC would not be providing a diagnosis for at least 24 – 48 hours.
There will be no further announcements related to this issue until LRH receives a diagnosis from the CDC.
LRH officials ask that the media respect the privacy of all patients at LRH. Questions should be directed to the PR department at geninfo@lrhcares.org or by calling 603.444.9304.
*Two people who recently returned from Wuhan City China are sick and being testing for the coronavirus.

It is utterly outrageous they haven't disclosed what NH city or town they live in.

“The risk to our communities in New Hampshire is low, but we want to identify people who may be infected with this new coronavirus in order to prevent spread,” said State Epidemiologist Dr. Benjamin Chan.

What proof does Doctor Chan have the risk is low and they haven't been dangerous to their community? If the doctor would have said these two individuals are presumed to have coronavirus, he would have saved lives by making the community and state nervous about the upcoming virus pandemic in the early stage.

The CDC is the only facility in USA who does coronavirus testing and they are already backed up to the hilt. Due diligence demands he understands the limitation of the CDC and he asked them how long will it take to get the test result back.

The Wuhan Coronavirus Stock Market Panic Has Begun!

Feb 3

*Chinese shares drop nearly 9% amid fears of coronavirus impact

As businesses in China remain shuttered and travel bans mount, crude oil and shares in Australia and Japan also take a hit

Update Jan 2

Market trending down last week with Friday's down 600 points...week 733.

Update

*Shanghai stock market in a emergency manner shutdown for two weeks. I bet its for six months. When are they going to close us?

*Down about 600 points at the opening. One of the many panics in the next year.  Short selling is pervading the market at this time with the level at 442. Later this afternoon and during the closing of markets this afternoon will be a big test.

The Intermix Of The Severe Influenza Season and a rising Pandemic!

Jan 27

Everyone is throwing sand in the gears with getting accurate virus testing results: REVEALED: 110 patients across 26 states are being tested for deadly coronavirus which has struck five Americans so far - but process may be bottlenecked because only CDC has capability to test.

*Does anyone think we have only five cases in the USA today? Remember there is a one day to two weeks incubation period and these patients are going to be shedding out viruses the whole time. The greater truth here is the bad influenza season is going to drown out the early coronavirus signals. The testing capabilities, doctors and hospitals are overwhelmed within the heart of the flue season with influenza right now. In two weeks, we are all going to be panicking trying to figure out if we got influenza symptoms or coronavirus symptoms. That is when our USA medical system is going fail. In two week! Surely in two weeks we have the death rate of this disease. How is the circulating influenza and coronavirus going intermix in the genetic level and within medical system...the system level? The big picture? Can you have influenza and a coronavirus at the same time? Our media should be blaring at us 24/7 right now preparing for our near future with the coronavirus pandemic. The biggest story in 100 years is being drowned our by our constitutional crisis.

The Intermix Of A Pandemic And the Current Severe Shortage Of Doctors, Nurses And Staffs

This is a perfect storm:
A perfect storm is an event in which a rare combination of circumstances drastically aggravates the event.[1] The term is used by analogy to an unusually severe storm that results from a rare combination of meteorological phenomena.
We undergone a prolonged  dilution of professionalism, education, training, experience and skills with all the typical hospital staffs and beyond. I seen it is my own care, especially the nursing staff.

You see how fragile and non resilient we made ourselves based on a profit system underging  severe budget cuts across the board!

Honestly, Can You Trust The CDC and DHHS During The Trump Era With Coronavirus Anything

Jan 29

There is a lot of positives with the CDC. They are centrally collecting all the testing results and putting the analysis in a single data base. This is where we do a detained and deep analyst of the flue samples nationwide. Come up with broadly how dangerous the virus is. At a high level in gov, they have immediate access with how the virus is spreading. It is a godsend to all of us. But they got to be honest with us. It is a single data source, a agency head has a lot power to selectively give us information for pollical purposes. The focus of my concern, we got to know transparently if the CDC is efficiently collecting and analyzing the virus samples...there has to be no roadblocks or delays in displaying the information to the outside like the Chinese. We are better than them! Now if the facility is overwhelmed and delays getting out samples result out, they got to be honest with us. The officials got to scream out to their upper managers and outsiders that we are overwhelmed and delays in releasing samples are occurring...we need high political power to fix our problems no matter how much money it takes.

*The Trump administration has banned seven words from the Centers for Disease Control's upcoming budget documents, the Washington Post reports. The words are "vulnerable," "entitlement," "diversity," "transgender," "fetus," "evidence-based" and "science-based."

They took big budget cuts...

Can Mosquitos, Rats and Birds and Insects Catch The Virus and Passed It To Humans

We need animal and insect surveillance testing for the virus in the vicinity of that Chinese animal and fish market. Are these guys loaded with coronavirus and can it get passed to humans?

In Flight Contagion ( Plane)

This is why containment is going to fail. The public health officer only has assumptions the virus isn't airborne. This germ is a superspreader. The conservative principle states we should assume everyone on a aircraft from china and in a highly enclosed environment, as in a aircraft, is assumed to be infected with the coronavirus. Once in the USA, these people need to be quarantine for two weeks, to a month, and then be tested clean.
Canadian coronavirus patient showed symptoms on flight, but risk to others is low, chief public health officer says
The Toronto man infected with the country’s first case of the novel coronavirus was symptomatic on an airplane returning to Canada from China last week, meaning other passengers could have potentially been exposed to the illness.
However, Theresa Tam, Canada’s chief public health officer, said the risks to most people who may have passed by the man in the airport or on the airplane is low. According to scientific evidence, the coronavirus is spread by droplets, so the people who face the highest risk of infection would be those in close contact with the infected individual for prolonged periods of time, she said.

Harvard Expert Calls Coronavirus Outbreak 'Thermonuclear Pandemic Level Bad'

This is why the lockdown is so severe. This lockdown is just for show. When the fatality numbers comes in within a few weeks as  catastrophic, they will say we tried as hard as we can to contain the pandemic with the lockdowns. They are worrying in a few months about their governance ability. Where will the panic lead them. Would you lie your ass off for future governance?

Oh, This is going to be a very bad week for the stock market.

This makes our Constitution crisis on the scale of things as insignificant.

Harvard expert calls coronavirus outbreak 'thermonuclear pandemic level bad'
An expert advisor to the World Health Organization (WHO) has described the coronavirus outbreak as potentially "thermonuclear pandemic level bad".

Dr Feigl-Ding is a health expert at Harvard University and has a dual doctorate in epidemiology and nutrition.

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD - the new coronavirus is a 3.8!!! How bad is that reproductive R0 value? It is thermonuclear pandemic level bad - never seen an actual virality coefficient outside of Twitter in my entire career. I’m not exaggerating...

Some folks think I'm trying to incite fear. I'm not trying - I'm a scientist. This [virus] is serious."
"Let's hope it doesn't reach that level but we now live in the modern world with faster [planes and trains] than 1918."
The Spanish Flu wasn't as contagious as 2019-nCoV appears to be, with patients only infecting about two others on average - and it killed possibly as many as 50 million people.
Dr Feigl-Ding called on WHO to declare an emergency "ASAP". WHO last week said it was "too soon" to declare an emergency. They're set to meet again this week to reevaluate that decision

What Does A Centralized Responce Look Like In the USA?

2019-nCoV

Jan 30

*Well, this is what centralization looks like in the USA: President Trump announced the formation of a coronavirus task force, which the White House said has met daily since the start of the week.
Coordinated through the National Security Council, the group is led by Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar and includes national security adviser Robert O'Brien, Deputy Secretary of State Stephen Biegun, Department of Homeland Security acting Deputy Secretary Ken Cuccinelli, and Domestic Policy Council Director Joseph Grogan.
Update Jan 26

It is amazing how siloed we have become. I looked over the US Pandemic strategy yesterday afternoon and realized it was grossly obsolete. I bet you I was the first one on the internet who realized the strategy wouldn't work based on the published characteristics of the virus. We live in a completely new world today from yesterday, tomorrow will be a completely different world than today.
China says virus can spread before symptoms show -- calling into question US strategy to contain virus

China’s health minister Ma Xiaowei had some very bad news Sunday about the Wuhan coronavirus: He said people can spread it before they have symptoms.

A veteran adviser for a US health agency called the news a "game changer."

“When I heard this, I thought, ‘oh dear, this is worse than we anticipated.’ It means the infection is much more contagious than we originally thought,” said Dr. William Schaffner, a longtime adviser to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Schaffner added that this new piece of information called into question the current US practices for containing the virus so it doesn’t spread beyond the three cases that have already appeared in Washington state, California, and Illinois.

Schaffner, an infectious disease expert at Vanderbilt University Medical Center said that if Max is correct, “we’re going to have to re-evaluate our strategy, that’s for sure."

And if so – and information about this virus is constantly evolving -- for about two weeks, people who don’t even know they’re sick can spread the virus, which has killed more than 50 people in China and infected thousands.

The disease has spread as far as France, Canada, and the US, which now has three cases in California, Washington state, and Illinois.
The below two paragraphs speaks to our new reality: "We live in a completely new world today from yesterday, tomorrow will be a completely different world than today.
In a press briefing Friday, Dr. Jennifer Layden, an epidemiologist with the Illinois Department of Health, said the woman with the Wuhan coronavirus in her state had not been sick while traveling from Wuhan to the US on January 13, and “based on what we know now about this virus our concern for transmission before symptoms develop is low so that is reassuring.”

She explained that officials were following “close contacts” of the patient. She did not mention following other kinds of contacts, such as the other passengers on the woman’s January 13 flight.
*China Orders Centralized Response to Virus Outbreak as Alert Level Rises

Our worthless national pandemic plan is worthless because it is based on the avian flue like virus. It assumes we have a vaccine for virus.

We should have had big studies and planning for a coronavirus like vaccine. A set of vaccines in waiting where a some change could give us protection.

Do we have the vaccine production infrastructure in waiting for a pandemic.

Wuhan Coronavirus: Many Tens of Millions Deaths Are Right Around The Corner

We are a completely different nation from yesterday, tomorrow we will be a completely different nation from today.
Outbreak is accelerating in China: Chinese President Xi Jinping chaired a meeting with top officials of the ruling Communist Party on the prevention and control of the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak, China’s state media reported Saturday. During the meeting, Xi pointed out that in facing the grave situation of the rapid spreading epidemic of the deadly new coronavirus, it is necessary to strengthen the centralized leadership of the Party Central Committee.

A greater truth is, a pandemic is one of the greatest transparency agents in the cosmos. It is going to show us all of our flaws and shortcomings.
